Days of Wine and Roses

The days of wine and roses laugh and run away

Like a child at play

Through the meadow land toward a closing door

A door marked "nevermore"  that wasn't there before.

The lonely night discloses, just a passing breeze, filled with memories

Of the golden smile that introduced me to

The days of wine and roses, and you!

For my husband, Dan...with love and many thanks!

Love the 'love' in your eyes/smile. You two are grand together!!!

Amazing how you were able to find so many perfect photos to accompany your lovely song.

Regret having to admit this, but, I am completely tone deaf and most music is just noise for me. So seeing a song played out in images is very moving.
