Moon River

Moon river, wider than a mile

I'm crossing you in style some day

Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker

Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way

Two drifters, off to see the world

There's such a lot of world to see

We're after the same rainbow's end, waitin' 'round the bend

My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me

Gorgeous photos, Linda! And I have to tell you: Moon River was the class song for one of the Surry High School classes several years ahead of me. I remember going to "events" in the old Surry High auditorium that year and hearing Moon River. I think of that every time I hear that song!

oh my!!! the atmosphere in these photos is fabulous. Moon River has always been a favorite song of mine - from a favorite movie of mine. You did a wonderful job with this theme song. And how lucky that you found a rainbow and could actually photograph it. I love the mood in the first two photos. happy day to you Linda.

Beautiful song Linda...when I was in Savannah Ga. they have a statue of Johnny Mercer who penned the song moon river which runs through Savannah. He wrote 1,400 songs the most famous was Moon River.

Henry Mancini....I sang this one in 8th grade (it was an oldie then). I'm so glad I hit on this post-you should do this all the time. Every week I'm amazed how you pair lyric and image so gracefully. that first pic is my fave.

Linda, a fabulous post!
Your photos are gorgeous and you've put this together beautifully!
I used to sit in my bedroom growing up singing this song. I had a huge crush on Andy Williams. :)
