Wordless Wednesday is Adrift...

Apparently, Kent Weakley has decided not to continue Wordless Wednesday.  I was sorry to hear that, because I really enjoyed it!  SO...I have decided to continue posting WW, even though there is no linky for it yet!  I am hoping someone comes forward to host it...I think it was a great place for those of us who aren't still in the "raising children" phase of our lives.  I always found it interesting...

So, here is my entry for Wordless Wednesday...

Left Side exit gate to the Armed Forces Memorial, Town Point Park, Norfolk, VA

Right Side, Exit Gate

Metal "Letters" from Armed Services Personnel who gave their all...

first....love your barn charm post. You always seem to capture the best of them!!

And as for Wordless Wednesday...that's a shame, 'cause there were so many GOOD and BETTER photos each week with my bloggin' buddies' posts.

This one is really poignant Linda.

yes, I think you ought to take over WW! It's sad when favorite memes are discontinued. But...it's a lot of work to host them, I'm sure. I love your Barn Charm post Linda. Ramshackle buildings hold a lot of charm. And the mural is spectacular. Good find there. Today's post is very touching, the metal letters are a treasure. thanks for sharing. happy day to you.

I'll help you in any way I can...I think the biggest thing that takes up most of the work is to set up a Mr. Linky. Just let me know how I can help.

Moving photos, Linda.
I'll have to investigate "Wordless Wednesday" - not a meme I participated in.

Fine words to make us think about the losses.

The medal letters were an ingenious idea. Very touching. Reminded me of a book I read years ago that contained a collection of WWll letters the author spent years collecting from people he met.

there is actually a web-site and a main hub for wordless wednesday where hundreds of people link in--here is the address:
http://www.wordlesswednesday.com/newhome/

Many people who didn't like playing with the large group started smaller groups by putting up their own linky list, but the main hub is still active.
