Barn Charm #30

This first barn, while well-kept, didn't appear to house any animals - no fence in sight, no signs of life.
This 2nd barn, we passed 6 different times, each time attempting to get a photo of it.  But, it is on a busy highway, with their driveway the only place to pull over - and the barn was not visible from there.  I was very frustrated, because it really is a pretty barn!  Once you pass the barn, there is a dip in the road which makes the barn practically invisible. So, I had to make do with this drive-by shooting!

It is SO frustrating to see a beautiful barn and not be able to get close enough to get a good picture of it.... Your first one reminds me a lot of the barn just outside of Smithfield.

Linda that is some kind of threatening sky in that second shot. I think there is RAIN in that sky! The first barn, I love the colors. Such a tidy place. The little red barn looks cute and charming. It is frustrating when you see a barn and you can't find a way to get the shot! I think you did great with the drive-by technique... :)

Both are charming barns and yes it is so frustrating not to see the whole barn or most likely it get blurred when we took the shot ^_^ Thanks for sharing.

The first one looks lonely! :)
Linda you did a great job on the drive=by. The barn is in focus and I like the blurry foreground. That one does look like a beauty. Love the shape and the paint job.

you did well with the drive by shooting. it is a perfect dramatic sky to bring out the colours, too, so I would have kept driving back and forth in an attempt to get the perfect shot.

Great drive-by shot! Both barns are very nice, but I'm partial to that white and red.

These are both quite nice - I think you got a darn good shot of the red-topped barn considering it was a drive-by!!

It is is a good-looking barn and so I'm glad you took the photo even if it is a drive-by. It actually turned out very well!

I'm new to barn scouting since joining up with Barn Charm so am thinking will do some trespassing. :-) If I stick with barns near me I may know some of the farmers because I worked for Farm Bureau before retiring. Your second barn has that classic barn roof that we all love.

I get so frustrated with not having shoulders on our country roads. So often a drive by is all you can do and the timing of traffic is always bad for me. I have been known to park in the closes place and walk back for a really great shot. Thankfully, my hubby is willing to work with me.

Love that red roof with the white building. Looks like a new metal roof. We are seeing so many placing going to those.

So you are 'into' drive by shooting now. hehe just kidding. But, aren't we all. We see a barn or other interesting thing for our blogs and we HAVE TO HAVE it. Drive by or stop on the side of the road. Barns are such fun and You posted a great one.
