A Barn for Tuesday

I had a moderately successful barn-storming trip last week.  One of the places we like to stop when we go to Gloucester is a farmer's stand called "The Farmer's Daughter".  We usually stop there on our first venture out of the campground.  When we pulled up this time, hubby pointed to the barns in the back of the field.  Somehow, I have never noticed them before!  Of course, I wasn't blogging the last time I was there!  (Sounds like a good excuse, doesn't it?)

The barns were partially obscured by the field of sunflowers in front of them, but then, that is a good thing!  I LOVE sunflowers!  I can't wait to see the field in another week or so!

Great shots Linda...I love how the barns look as though they are stretching to look above the sunflowers.

These are so pretty! Glad your hubby pointed them out (we've got them trained pretty well, don't we?). ;)

These are great shots! Isn't it so true how you notice more when you're blogging? I know I do. . .

Oh well done Linda's husband for pointing out these two fine barns, even better that they're surrounded in sunshine yellow. Nice work both of you.

It's beautiful, now, but will you be going back in a week or so? Is that when the sunflowers will be blooming? That's going to be a sight to see!

I hope you find your way back here Linda when the sunflowers are in full bloom--it will be a glorious scene with this old faded red barn. And those big stars on barns-love that so much. Especially if lit at the holidays.

I keep threatening to do a post of barn tops...I have several just like these and like them all.

Those are both nice barns! I know what you mean about not noticing them - I was a farmers daughter and took barns for granted, until I started blogging and taking pictures for it.

Great barns. I also love to see fields of sunflowers. There is a place in New Haven, Mo. where they mix rows of sunflowers in with the soybeans. The yellow and green stripes can be seen from up on a hill. Lovely to see.
