More Barns

Boy, I am getting down to the end of my barn photos!  Good thing we are headed out on Wednesday to a lovely rural area of our state...going barnstorming - hoping to replenish the coffers!
I loved the white buildings - everything seemed to have very steep roof-lines!
A yellow barn?  That was a new color for me!
And, I was happy to see someone was still building barns our of lumber, and not just metal pole barns!  I really liked the roof style of this one.

Three very different styles and colours here Linda, I wish I'd thought about looking for barns on the trip to the country a few weeks ago, next time! Good luck on your 'barnstorming' trip!

Yes, they're all very different, but pretty!
I have plenty of barn photos, but I need to go in search of fences for Friday posts!
Maybe I should go fence-storming! ???

We have no shortage of barns in my area. But, I understand about needing to replenish the coffers. In my case it is the reds, pinks and yellow that I am having a dry spell on.

Love that yellow barn. Very unique. I also like the new colors the metal roofs are coming in these days. We are starting to see a lot of plum and turquoise here.

Good Morning Linda! You made my day today with your picture of a barn being built with wood! There is hope... :) Doesn't get more charming than that!

Nice barns...the ones that are stick built are the most charming! But I think pole buildings are the wave of the future...more weather resistance but lacking charm!

These barns are lovely, Linda. That first shot -- those are the cutest barns!

My favorite is the first ones. The white shows up so well. Just lovely. . .

a nice variety of styles - in the roofs and the windows. I agree, it's nice to see wooden barns still going up. I like that yellow barn, and it's a new color for me too. Have fun on your barnstorming trip! happy week to you.

All great barns. I really like the first one. There is a yellow barn near where my daughter lives. I will have to try and get a picture next time I visit her.

That first shot is lovely! I want that to be mine. :)
There is one yellow barn in my area. I posted it before you were linking I think.
The last one definitely lacks the charm we see in old ones but the roof line is good and with a little weathering this one might be ok. :)

Great set of barns! I need to go barn hunting myself!

I never joined that link party because there aren't enough barns around here to photograph, and the ones still standing all look the same--leaning :D Farmers have taken to covering their hay with long sheets of heavy plastic instead of storing it in a barn.

I'm very fond of the mustard yellow in house colors as well as barns now. Agree with you about the charms of wooden barns--may not last as long but have more heart.

First pone looks to be in good condition and still used. Each one of these is unique and rather interesting.

Nice barns...the yellow color IS unusual isn't it?! Kind of expect to see a big sun painted on the side! That new barn is gorgeous....I wouldn't mind moving right in!

Some great finds & those are definitely some extreme slanted roofs, aren't they!

Thanks for joining, Linda

I noticed the steep roofs in that first one, too...nice variety here.

I love that white barn!

In Oregon, pole barns still have lumber 'bones', the difference is that the foundation is built by sinking 'poles' into the ground (as opposed to being built on cement or stone). They can have wood or metal siding. :-)

Those were indeed unique sets of Barns! I haven't seen a yellow colored barn too, that was all unique! The first one looks very neat and nice, it looks very attractive with its cozy touch of design. I wonder how many barns you've got her, I bet I need to roll down your posts and see for my self wonderful barns you've shared.
