Leaning, Leaning...

Oh, the joys of replenishing the "barn coffers"!  The trip to Tennessee was very successful on a number of levels.  Drive-by barns, surprise finds, and those we expected to find - it was a veritable smorgasbord of barns!  I even spotted a few quilt barns!  I am good for a few months now...

This barn was spotted as we arrived at Parrot Mountain in Pigeon Forge.  From the end view, it doesn't look to bad...
But continuing toward the other side, the lean became more pronounced.

When I got to this angle, it looked like it was going to fall down backwards.  I hope they aren't still using it!

Linking to Tricia's Barn Charm, where barns from all over the world are being preserved in photographs.

Instead of the Leaning Tower of Pisa you have the leaning barn of Tennessee. Great find and photos!

Oh my, I wonder how much longer that barn will be standing. Beautiful shot!

Oh my goodness - looks like one good strong gust will take that one away.
Great find! Looking forward to the others you found!

Amazing find. This old barn is ringing some bells in my head but I don't recall ever going to Parrot Mountain. I have been to Pigeon forge a few times though.

I hope this jewel continues to stand long enough for someone to take pity on it and restore it.

One good whiff of wind in the right direction and I cringe to think of the disaster. :)

This old charmer looks like it's about to bite the dust. But I bet it had a long and useful life! Don't you wish barns could talk?

One good windstorm or heavy snowfall and she'll be a goner. Great photos!

Wow, that thing is really leaning! It almost looks elastic!

I suspect you have enough barns to post well after this one has toppled. :))

The leaning deffinately adds to the charm.

Interesting shape a texture with the old weathered wood and the mean lean. You wonder what someone was thinking when they built this.

I hope the big bad wolf doesn't show up there anytime soon!

If someone would buy this leaning barn and reconstruct and repair it, it would make a wonderful structure. Such nice shots. This is definitely a Tower of Pizza barn. genie
