Friday Fences - Early!

I am off on the road again tomorrow, and I have SO missed playing along with Friday Fences, so I thought I would sneak one in today, just a little early!  Hope I get a chance to link it up with Jan and Jer when they go live!

We traveled over toward the mountains last weekend - hoping to see a little snow and get a carriage ride in it (Dianna at These Days of Mine made me so jealous with her lovely photos from Vermont!) and maybe get some nice photos.  We arrived at my aunt's house on Saturday and there was a small dusting of snow on the ground, but the temperatures were expected to get into the upper 50's so I was not expecting it to last long.  It didn't, but it was pretty while it lasted!
However, I did expect to see snow at the resort, because it is farther north and west.  I was very disappointed not to see any at all!  And, they told me they hadn't really had much when it did snow.  So, I had to be content to take a buggy ride in the cold, without the pretty snow.  Guess the gorgeous blue sky was a nice trade-off!
Sam, our guide, and Sparky, our noble steed!
Linking to Friday's Fences (when the link goes live).

You got some great shadows on the little bit of snow that you did Get Linda, and I bet the buggy ride was great fun..I did that with Aimee, my nieces nd my sisters once through the vineyards, excellent.
p.s. they say everyone has a double somewhere in the world, I have to tell you that from your previous profile shot, your double was sitting near me in a cafe yesterday morning..honestly!

The blue sky was worth the lack of snow! BTW If your coming south via I-95...Brunswick Golden Isles are exit 38...St Simons is about 13 miles, stop in and check out this well kept secret of a little bit of paradise.

The snow did make for a great shot! Ironic that they didn't have any at the resort. Still a beautiful sky and nice white fence!

I can see that this would be very scenic if there was snow covering the hills. Bare brown grass is OK but snow is better.

Great shot that captured beauty with just a bit of snow. (I'm posting from 2 years ago for my snow shot today!) I love your Irish header photo. Thanks for no-word verification, which I agree with totally.

Snow would have been nice, but I'm sure the ride was still nice.

I bet it was a beautiful ride...albeit snow. Of course, I'd prefer no snow. LOL

Have a good trip for the time being this time...as always, you're missed. But, I enjoy your posts when you do contribute to The Road Awaits.

Fences are nice and the shadows of the trees reminds me of fences. We have had snow this winter but not in the usual amounts. More is expected today.

we can never ever give up hope, Linda! God works miracle w/ no rhyme or reason, so there's always hope! Plus, look at history, look what's happened in the past... lots of seemingly hopeless things have been turned around... God bless & everything is possible w/ the Lord! =)

I can see how that would have been beautiful in the snow- but still looks like lovely scenery for a buggy ride!

hey, I feel as though I'm in that carriage right along with you. what an excellent shot. and the shadows in the first shot are nice too. whatever snow we were getting was melting right away too, up until this past week. now we're in that pattern of an Alberta clipper every other night and very cold temps, so it's adding up little by little. wherever you're off to, I hope you have the time of your life. happy week to you Linda. take care now.
