19th Barn Charm

I was searching my files for barn photos and discovered that I am running out of them!  I have been so busy with specifics for my photo club submissions that I have neglected my barn storming - that needs to be remedied this week!  I see a trip on the horizon...

This barn was spotted on my vineyard trip to Northern Virginia back in February.  It was a drive-by, so not as clear as I would have liked, but I was struck by the whiteness of the barn and silos.

If you recall, I posted this next one, slightly different view, for the fence on Friday's Fences a few weeks ago.  It was a beautiful horse farm and I photographed it in color and black and white, close and more distant to show the surrounding view.  I would have loved to get even closer to the barn, but would have been trespassing, so I opted to stay off the property and on the road!

You can't tell much about the barns from this shot, but the view was spectacular!

These are both beautiful barns! I don't think I've ever seen a completely white barn before!

A white barn...now, for me that's a first!! As the meme title goes....barns definitely have their own 'charm'!!!

And as far as I'm concerned, you can't beat Virginia landscape...it's always so beautiful...in all seasons.

This a huge barn n the white just pops! I hear you on running out of barns...I just got back to Pa after wintering in Ga (where no barns could be found) A road trip is much needed here to replenish my barn folder. I love the horse farm..we just went to one yesterday, I took lots of pics too!

The first is a BIG, attractive barn. I really like how you photographed the second barn through the trees. NICE!

That is certainly a huge barn. I like the double silos and the fencing.
Sometimes I'd love to get closer to what I'm photographing but I don't want to cross anyone. :)
I rather like your shot of looking through those lovely old trees. Standing on the outside looking in is a good feel.
Your last shot of the horse farm is gorgeous - lovely in black and white!

I'm in the Palouse loading up on barn shots! Love that second shot most!

As an old farm boy I'm glad you're doing this because the change in agricultural practices means that the old barn is not used anymore.
