This barn was spotted on my vineyard trip to Northern Virginia back in February. It was a drive-by, so not as clear as I would have liked, but I was struck by the whiteness of the barn and silos.
If you recall, I posted this next one, slightly different view, for the fence on Friday's Fences a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful horse farm and I photographed it in color and black and white, close and more distant to show the surrounding view. I would have loved to get even closer to the barn, but would have been trespassing, so I opted to stay off the property and on the road!

(Trying to link to Barn Charm, but I'm having a difficult time loading their page....)
Happy Tuesday - and hope you can plan that barn storming trip soon!
A white barn...now, for me that's a first!! As the meme title goes....barns definitely have their own 'charm'!!!
And as far as I'm concerned, you can't beat Virginia landscape...it's always so beautiful...in all seasons.
That white barn is nothing short of spectacular...never seen a totally white barn and silo. WOW.

Oh, me too Linda! I'm down to one new barn photo for next week then I need a new fix. :) Lovely photos, dear.
This a huge barn n the white just pops! I hear you on running out of barns...I just got back to Pa after wintering in Ga (where no barns could be found) A road trip is much needed here to replenish my barn folder. I love the horse farm..we just went to one yesterday, I took lots of pics too!
beautiful...now hit the road and get some more!
These are beautiful photos. I love the last two for the scenery and fences too. Pamela
Your photos are beautiful. I hope you can get out and find more barns. Thanks for visiting and your nice comment.
hmmm, sounds like a few of us will be hitting the road in the next week or so, pulling off to the shoulder, cameras ready....!
The first is a BIG, attractive barn. I really like how you photographed the second barn through the trees. NICE!
That is certainly a huge barn. I like the double silos and the fencing.
Sometimes I'd love to get closer to what I'm photographing but I don't want to cross anyone. :)
I rather like your shot of looking through those lovely old trees. Standing on the outside looking in is a good feel.
Your last shot of the horse farm is gorgeous - lovely in black and white!
It really DOES look like a spectacular view! Amazing! Love the wide open & that fence! WoW!
Thanks so much for joining... Now, get to barn storming! LoL! =)
Oh, that white barn is a beauty...and that last shot does show a spectacular view!
very, very nice places. i like the rows of birds on that top roof. :)
oooo...where exactly is that beauty of a barn? I just might have to go see it up close and personal.
That first barn is a beauty! Love the shape of the roof and all that white paint. All are gorgeous captures though! Love horses and horse barns.
I'm in the Palouse loading up on barn shots! Love that second shot most!
As an old farm boy I'm glad you're doing this because the change in agricultural practices means that the old barn is not used anymore.
Love that big white barn!!
I have seen white barns, it is a big one too. Love the second shot with the horses. Lovely photos, have a great day!
Love that big old white barn! Two silos, double charming :) And I just smile when the barn looks like it has a face and this one does! Always love to see a horse barn AND horses! EveryBODY is going on a trip! I wanna go too!
Very elegant white barn Linda and lots of lovely tall trees on the horse farm. Sounds like you're enjoying your photography course, enjoy your 'barn storming'...
Great shots all but the last is my favorite.
They sure don't make them like the ol' white barn anymore...great shot!!
I swore I commented on this! Great barn. Love the whitewashed look.
