Barn Hunt

This week I was on a photo hunt for our photo club.  Imagine my joy when I discovered that 2 of the items in the hunt were barns and fences!  Woohoo!  Like I needed an excuse to photograph a barn!  At any rate, the barns had to be in black and white, and we could only take 3 photographs to choose from.  So...here are my 3 barns...in no particular order.

Which barn would you have chosen for the entry into the contest?

Oh, and by the way...after I did my 3 shots, you know I took more barn photos, right?  I just didn't include them in the consideration!

Be sure to check out more barns at Barn Charm.

Those top two give a whole new definition to 'air conditioning'!:>) Actually the first looks more like a long tractor port (instead of car port).
They are three have loads of character with the first being perplexing, the second sad, and well the third--maybe just right?!;>)
I would have chosen the third for my entry.

Wow Linda, you always find the neatest barns. These born things have seen better days. They are all great and it's a hard choice. I think I like #3 because it still manages to house a vehicle. It's doing it's best to stay strong.

Jann

I like the top shot Linda! The tractor closed the deal for me. I love your B&W series, it worked great here! Good Morning to you!

All three are great! I pick the second one for your entry! Just the way it sits there against the trees!

Oh wow, tricky choice Linda, they all look fantastic in B&W..I think if I had to choose it would be the first image I like the added interest point of the old tractor. Well done.

The first one for me - and the tractor was the deciding factor!

I don't know which I would have chosen, maybe number two.

But - - - number one looks like the tractor could shove it over with minimal horsepower.

Number two looks like a slight breath from a bystander could do it in.

The car in number three will be happy if the roof doesn't come crashing down on its head!

I'd choose #2, then #3. There's not much holding #2 up, but that it's still standing against all odds intrigues me.

I really like all three! Picking strictly for a photo contest I would probably have to go with the second, and then next choice the first, but it's really a tough choice.

These are not only barns but relics which are close to an end.
I really like the middle one. It's not really a barn anymore but a pile of debris.

I'd select Photo two--wanted to call this one "still standing after all these years." It's been a bit since I participated in some daily photo homework. What a great way to improve your skills and open your eyes to new possibilities.

All of these are interesting barns and look great in black and white. My favorite (if I had to pick one) woud be the second one that is long-gone! :-)

I would have to choose the second shot. Somehow it speaks to me.
