Flowers!

When I first bought my macro lens, I spent a lot of time crawling around outside, photographing flowers.  I am sure my neighbors wonder about me (and not just because of that!), but I think there is something absolutely amazing about flowers.  I still photograph them close-up whenever I can - the last time I was in a restaurant!

Hens & chicks from the planter on my deck

Lenten Rose from my back flower garden

Yellow rose from my rose garden

Pink Rose outside my bedroom window

Dandelion from the front yard...not supposed to be there!

Dahlia from a vase at the restaurant

Dahlia converted to black and white

I agree Linda, flowers are one of the most interesting things to shoot in macro because of the complexity of their petal arrangements and centre heads. These are gorgeous examples, believe it or not as an image I love the dandelion a lot!

Yep...I agree also...can't wait to start taking flower shots! Spring is coming real soon!!! One day I will get a macro lens...but for now I get as close as possible...like you..I lay on the ground sometimes and I'm sure the neighbors think I'm a little nuts!
Nice photos Linda!

Don't worry about what the neighbours think! They need to be worrying about what YOU think! (kidding!)

I crawl around with my macro lens too. Isn't that what you're supposed to do? ;)
