It's so much fun when other people get interested in what you are doing! I have been telling my family about some of the memes I am participating in, and they manage to find and suggest photo ops for me. This past week, I spent several days with my sister in Manassas, VA. We had a lovely day on Saturday, visiting a winery, having a picnic lunch (and of course, the requisite bottle of wine with lunch), and exploring a really neat historical town. On the way to the winery, we spotted a cemetery with a lovely fence around it. On the way back, we just had to check it out. I think it was worth the trip - even though my brother-in-law had to back halfway out because the exit gate was closed!
Entry to the Clifton Cemetery
Exit gate - I loved the crosses on the gates!
One view from inside, looking out toward a private home
Altogether a lovely fence!

What a gorgeous setting!
Beautiful fences. The only meme my hubby helps me with is Barn Charm - and he is totally focused on that whenever we're traveling!
Great pics - sounds like a fun time with your sister!
beautiful view. what a lovely home i bet. (:
PS - I gave you something on my blog today! ;)
Love the iron gate, crosses and all! Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your sis.
Your post below is such a sweet tribute to your family n why you love being a Mom. I feel the very same way..life is sooo sweet!
Very pretty! I have people find photo ops for me too. In fact, my photo for today was a result of Hubs finding something for me to photograph.
You're right about the crosses--they are simple and quite beautiful--almost Celtic in feeling. I'm glad your friends and family are interested in your photography. When I mention taking photos of fences or water most of my friends say "that's nice" or "Huh?" :-)
That is a beautiful gate...
a very elegant fence
We live in Warrenton so are very familiar with Manassas and Clifton and all the other wonderful historical towns around here. That is one of the prettier and more peaceful cemeteries to visit. Lovely photos!!
