There is something about this gate that just begs you to wander the road beyond...
And then there was the companion gate at the next trail...complete with wagon wheels!
I guess they didn't want you driving down the road...there wasn't any fence attached. I was on a vineyard quest, so I didn't take time to explore any further...besides, the signs didn't exactly make me feel welcome - particularly the one that said the property was "protected by closed circuit TV". I am not sure what would come after one was spotted on the TV...didn't want to hang around and find out!

The trails and bends really make me curious. Good photos do that.
the wagon wheel accompaniments are rather unique. :)

Cool wagon wheels. Closed circuit tv? They are pretty serious about trespassers!
I want that wagon wheel...nice shots
Love the winding road - looks like a great place for a walk. Except for the TV cameras.
I would of left too. Love your header
:)
At least you brave enough to get some nice photos for your blog. Keep on clicking.
i really like the wagon wheel. such character.
i'm with you Linda ... we need to take a walk. who's with me?? (:
It is inviting but like you I would keep out
Makes you wonder just what is down that car track of a road.
Love the wheels!
I like the wagon wheel. Closed Circuit TV is pretty serious, they must be worried. I wouldn't hang around either. Have a great weekend, Linda!
What the heck they doin' back there??? A vineyard quest? Sounds like the right thing to do.. :)
Woodsy settings, so Love them. Makes me want to leave this desk and take a quiet walk, somewhere away from it all :)
Beautiful shots...and yes, I really would love to stroll down that road. And don't you wonder if it was really protected by closed circuit tv? We were out and stopped to look at a covered bridge...just pulled over to the side of the road and got out...when I came back to the car, we noticed a sign saying it was being monitered by camera...can't remember if it said closed circuit tv or what.
That banner at the top is almost frightening. Seems so large, and the house so small. Wow.
It does make you wonder what's back there!
i always wanna get in there when i see gates up... i don't actually do it cuz people around here shoot 1st, then ask questions, later, & i'm thinkin gettin shot isn't too much fun! =)
some of the wooded areas near me have fences like this
I heard it was for ATVs, seems a lot of people were using the woods as collision courses
lovely photos
Wow...what a beautiful place to stroll! LOVE your new header, too, Linda.
I would have loved to explore that trail, but not after seeing those signs.
How intriguing! Lovely photographs.
Neat combination of wheel and fence. Yep, I'd LOVE to see what's on the other side of that gate. :))
Wonderful shots!
Neat fence and pathway...worrisome signs! :-)
Fences fascinate me. I did a couple of posts on them.
Gates, too! The backroads are so much fun!
Cheers from Cottage Country!
