Weekend Reflections

The still water at the Botanical Gardens last week provided no end to the opportunities for reflection shots.

I "chased" this Great Blue with my camera back and forth across the lake...he just wouldn't let me get very close, and I didn't have my 500mm lens with me!  That will teach me to leave it behind!

Like your shots of the old heron flying out of the territory. Their flight is somewhat erratic when they start out.

It is hard to have all the right lenses...there are always too many wonderful surprises and delights in nature....yet these are perfect captures of nature at its finest.

You have a 500mm! WOW!!!! I'm happy for you.
I have learned to pop all my equipment into a basket when I come home, and pop it into the car as soon as I go ANYWHERE!
It really has helped. We tend to drive, then end up in a different place from our destination. It's been a great summer.
Cheers from Cottage Country!

Hi I am new here, via CC. That bird is so big, amazing. How wonderful it is to be in such waters for photography. I envy your sets of lenses. By the way, in your header, is that mountain really a big rock as shown in the photo? thanks.
