The Beauty of a Barn

Barns have always fascinated me, perhaps related to some memory of my childhood, playing at my grandparent's house, and perhaps just because they are all so different!  Wherever we travel, if there is a barn in view, my eye will go to it - it matters none if it is in good repair or falling down!  And, once I see it, the camera is out.  I have even asked my husband to turn the car around, just so I can get a shot of the barn.  Fortunately, Dan never complains and has become adept at finding spots to pull off the road for that perfect photo.

I agree barns have a charm all their own. My husband's name is Dan and he too, is very willing to help me "find the shot" while we are out for a drive.

You sound like me with barn photos! I contribute my love of them to the fact that I grew up across the highway from a dairy barn.
Thanks for your comment today on my sunset photo. It was pure luck to catch that one!

Everything about this shot makes the barn so inviting. Love the lighting...you must have had everything going in your favor at the time you clicked your shutter. I have not seen one this picturesque in quite a while. A nice first visit to your blog. genie
