Friday's Fence

On a visit to the Little River Railroad Museum, in Townsend, TN, I spotted this fence across the road.  Just couldn't resist snapping a photo...
It was the entrance to some hotel, I think, but I was not as interested in the name as I was in the fence.  Guess you can just call me a fence junkie!

These next two were taken somewhere along I-81 between Virginia and Tennessee.  These were more of the drive-by types, but I loved the look of the long, white fences.

Gotta love that "Sport" setting on the camera!  Sure does help keep me from blurring all the shots!  And, since we were traveling at about 65 MPH, you can get a sense of how rapidly that shutter goes - the same white horse and entry gate in each photo...just a little further along.

Wonder how long it took to make that first fence and how hard it is to maintain. I love it.

That first shot is so intriguing. Reminds me of fences I saw at Gettysburg. Love the rolling hills.

White fences look great but, I wouldn't want to paint them. By the way, most of our fences here are gone.

I like how the first fence seems to lead into the different one at the top of the shot.
Super drive-bys! Lots of horse country along 81 I think. :)

Great fences, especially that first one! And your header picture! Connemara was my favorite part of Ireland!

I love the split rail fences! They're one of my favorites. The white fences stand out nicely from the background.

The fences are great. Love the first one. We don't see many of those split rails around here.

I discovered using the sport setting for doing drive by's some time ago. I recommend it to everyone. I also keep my camera set at multiply burst so I get several rapid shots when photographing people. Helps prevent ending up with closed eyes.

Great fence shots. Have to admit I am partial to the stacked rail in the first shot.

Like TexWisGirl says, we're fencaholics! heheheee
The horses have a beautiful hillside pasture to graze, don't they!

Thank you so much for the comment you left about the tv show... it's a subject that's hard to talk about, but God is being taken out of just about everything these days because it offends certain people... Well, all those certain people offend me & I'm tired of it all being thrown in my face every time I turn the tv on, ya know?! Christians need to stick together & fight to get GOD back in EVERYTHING that He was taken out of!!!
Can I get an AMEN!!! Hallelujah! =)
