Friday's Fence

This fence was found on a side road between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.  We had arrived at the condo before it was ready (no surprise - we are ALWAYS early), so we decided to head to Gatlinburg to explore.  On the way, we spotted a sign that said there was an old church off the parkway, so we headed out to look for it.  The fence was a bonus...this is the view approaching it.
This next one was taken as we passed it...
And this last one is on the return trip - just had to get that last shot!  I love this kind of fence!  I am not sure it does much more than define the property...but it sure does that in a pretty way!

Very nice shots!
Isn't it interesting how we notice fences immediately now - and all these years, we never paid much attention to them!

This is my favorite kind of fence also. It would never keep in a pet or kids but I would love to have one around my yard.

My sister, husband & my handsome lil nephew, Landon, just got back from a week long vacation trip to Gatlinburg yesterday! Landon, will be 2 Monday, had to call up his aunt TT, that's me, to tell me about the bear they saw waaay up in a tree! He was sooo excited! Too cute, I just love him!

I love those kinds of fences, too... they really are the best way to 'show off' property boundaries, aren't they =)

btw, thank you for reminding me about Gold Bond... I'm definitely stopping on my way home after work today to pick up some... Whatever it is that I have did a lot better last night that it has all week, probably because I took a shower immediately after work & didn't reapply my deodorant, so I'm guessing the rash had a chance to dry up.
Thanks again! =)

But I LOVE your header!! I sat there, mesmerized!! What would it be like to wake up every morning to that mountain right outside your window!!!

I love split log fences. Like you say, they couldn't possibly keep things in or out but they surely are attractive additions to any property.

Very appealing looking fences Linda, maybe as you say they're just there for definition..I wish we could always be early, we're the direct opposite haha!
