Quilt Barn!

I finally managed to find some quilt barns on our recent trip - I was so excited!  This is the first of several I will be posting over the next few weeks (note how stingy I am being!).  This one was somewhere along I-81, either extreme southwestern Virginia, or just inside Tennessee.
Not bad for a drive-by at 65 MPH!  The cows in the foreground were a "freebie"!

Love the quilt square on the barn. Great shot going that fast.

Barn and setting are a very picturesque shot. But what are the cows doing in this shot?

That's a great one. And your header photo is just wonderful. One day I may see it . . .

Great drive by of this barn! I love the barn quilts. I have a couple that I took when I was at my daughters and haven't had a chance to post them yet.

i like the red and white weathering the barn is doing to match the quilt block. :)

Seriously! You were traveling at 65mph..excellent shot Linda. I'm glad that you had that extra day to recoup from your weekend festivities.

That's really nice! The quilt matches the faded red paint perfectly!

Great shot of the quilt barn, and those cows had their timing down for the shot too!

Good lookin ol barn... note the other structures in the background, which you know were added waaay after the barn... makes me wonder what happened that the farmer's land had to be sold off in order for those trailers.

Thank you for joining, Linda, much appreciated! =)

I've never heard them called quilt barns....guess so, tho...HUH?
Stingy? No, I don't think so....you're sharing the beauty one barn at a time, that's good if you ask me. That way we visitors can concentrate one ONE instead of seeing them all at once.

Of course, you didn't ask my opinion, so scratch that ditty where I got carried away and just read that I learned they're called quilt barns. Okay?

So glad to see this! I love quilt barns and just posted some I saw in Michigan. I try to see them everywhere I go and collect the maps for finding them. Such a wonderful concept to combine neat old barns and quilt squares. Love it!

How colorful -- love the new paint with the old. Great contrast.

Never heard of a quilt barn until I started following barn charm. I love all the patches that people find. I especially like this one. In fact I think I saw this quilt at the last social at church where they were doing a quilt raffle.
