Fabulous Friday Fences!

This past weekend, hubby and I took a ride out into the country.  The weather was gorgeous, bright and sunny - an altogether lovely day for a ride.  Since sunshine is not always a friend of photographers, on sunny days, I seem to spend my time looking for shade!  I guess I am pretty hard to please!

These fence shots were taken at St. Luke's Church near Smithfield, VA.  I enjoyed looking for different views.

There was no shortage of fences - entry fences, boundary fences, decorative fences.

I thought this was a unique fence - certainly wouldn't keep anyone out!

I loved the shadow fence!

Statue of St. Luke, with the decorative fence behind.

yes, great fence opportunities; nice to do leisurely drives (and photo shoots); always on the lookout.

Hello Linda, I like your photos of fences in a cemetery. I am really keen on cemeteries. In face, I am so keen, that I run a meme called Taphophile Tragics. You could post some of your photographs to this meme next week if you wish. I would welcome your contribution. YOu will find the link to the TT meme on my sidebar.

That second photo was quite unusual--is that a "fence" around a family plot, do you think? In Louisville we have a beautiful old Cave Hill Cemetery. I'm headed over there for some photos soon. You've shown that a "bone orchard" is a great place for photography. :-)
