A Pack of Alpacas!

I am not entirely sure a pack is the proper term for this "group", but somehow, that's what came to mind when I first saw them!  We were visiting in Florida when we heard about a local Alpaca farm.  I had never been this close to an Alpaca before, so this was a great adventure.  This is my first venture with Camera Critters, and when I looked back at the photos, I was simply unable to pick out just one or two...thestory just begged for more!  So, I invite you to sit back and enjoy the critters!

They are intensely curious, and very friendly!

Zoom lens in my pocket so my hands were free to feed them!

A baby - so cute!

You talking to me?

I've got a secret!

We can't bite you, even if we wanted to - we don't have top teeth!
Just bottom ones, although they are quite large!

Now you know why I couldn't just pick one or two!  They were so adorable, each with their own personality!

We accidentally came across an alpaca farm not far from our house a couple of years ago. My great nephew (he was probably 6 or 7 at the time) was visiting. It was so much fun - a baby had just been born that morning. Too cute!
Thanks for your suggestion about weekend reflections. I've actually linked posts to that before, and after reading your comment, I linked today's post! Thanks. Have a great weekend!

I love alpacas and llamas. In my next lifetime, I'm going to have a ranch with alpacas ... spin and use their wonderful wool. Looks like a fun time. Happy Critter Day!

Alpacas are adorable. If I had the land and barn, I would own an alpaca or two or three or four!

Hi Linda, I love Alpacas. We have seen them occasionally in Virginia but I have never gotten this close before. Your photos are wonderful.

Just look at those darling faces [in the last photo]....I have a feeling if I stick around too much longer, they'll likely spit in my face tho.
