What a Barn!

My offering for Barn Charm this week is courtesy of my sister-in-law, Ginny.  When she found out about my love of barns, she planned a day of "barn chasing" through the Missouri countryside.  This gem took a little time to find, and required the assistance of several people, but was definitely worth the search!  We met the owner of the barn, and learned a little about the history of it, and got to tour the inside, including the 2nd floor.  I think it is definitely a worthy entry!  Meet the Pevely Dairy Barn, Pevely, MO.

Front View (6 concrete silos)

Rear View (now adjoins horse corral)

Side View

Photograph from 1914, held by the owner, Debbie

Altogether a wonderful day!

Wow - your sister-in-law found you a jewel, didn't she? This is amazing. One reason I love blogging: I never, ever would have seen this if not for your post!
Safe travels on the journey home today!

FANTABULOUS barn! WoW! I love love love it & I'm sooo glad you found & shared it here on Barn Charm... and also that you added a the 1914 picture of it! We rarely ever get to tour these old barns, so this is AWESOME! Did you take any inside shots? Are you saving them for next week's Barn Charm? That's cool, I can wait & look forward to it!

Thank you very much for joining, much appreciated! =)

I really what they have done to the front. And that vine sneaking its way up and across both silos breaks up some of the vastness of the concrete.

What a fabulous barn. Love all the photos from different perspectives and then the old vintage one. It says so much about the structure. Great contribution this week. genie
