The Faces of a Barn

This past weekend, we traveled to the western part of the state to visit the Wildlife Center of Virginia.  We passed this barn every time we left the cabin, and I managed to catch several views of it.

Front view...

Passing by...

Loved the green roof against the red barn...

Then, on Sunday morning, when we were leaving for home, I spied it in the morning fog and couldn't resist just one more shot...

Goodbye, big red barn...you have given me much viewing pleasure this weekend!

Good Morning Linda! That is an awesome charming barn!! Sweeet little flip at the bottom of the roof and all clean and tidy and proud of itself! Charming barn in fog~enchanting. With the fence grabbing some attention. Great captures and good barn hunting Linda.

Love the roof on that barn, Linda! Not only the green, but the actual slope of the roof, too. Nice shots!

Isn't it a lot of fun to keep an eye out for one familiar image and try to track its changes by time of day, season with your camera? This barn looks like a real working farm building. Is the rest of the farm as well cared for?

THIS is a charming barn!
Everything from the sloping bright green roof, the cupola's to the mismatched windows on either side.
I love the little 'mini me' barn as well. :)

Now that is one very well-maintained barn. Good thing you didn't wait til the last day to take your first shot, but it gives a nice dimension to overall story.

I absolutely love big red barns with green roofs! Once we get our barn resided and repaired I'd like to have a green roof. Some day.
