Charleston, SC - a city of romance and old world charm - is the setting for my fences today. We spent a week there in November of 2010. I am so ready to return - I adore Charleston! However, I did learn that if you are an early riser, there are very few places to eat! Charlestonians are definitely NOT in a hurry!
This isn't technically a fence...but, it was so pretty..

Charleston IS a beautiful city; Great fence photos!
my hubby family is from Charleston, such a beautiful place indeed. great views. (:
My husband used to have to travel for work down near Charleston. I went along a couple of times. It really is a 'charming' city.
I like that first gate.
I love the first fence and I wanna go to Charleston!
I imagine Charleston to be a very elegant city and for some reason I always think of Gone with the Wind when I think of it!
the decorations on that first gate are interesting. stars and pine trees - made me think of christmas. :)
Charleston is a most charming town. We have been there and just loved it! Did you get to see the Rainbow houses and the straw market??? I have one of the sweet grass baskets! Nice fence shots!
I love that first fence...it is so pretty.
LOVE that gate! So pretty! And the fences are wonderful too. I love Charleston as well!
these are some neat fences! don't you think they add a lil mystery to the property? i think so! =)
So these fences blow this old farmer away! Wrought iron is very attractive and I admire the people who do wrought iron work as well as photographers who do a good job photographing it.
I haven't been to Charleston, but always wanted to go. Beautiful gates!
Sure your last is a fence--just a balcony fence. Your first photo reminds me of the little "pocket gardens" that are often behind these lovely fences of Charleston. I still have a clear shadow box in which three perfect salmon-colored sea shells are suspended--a memento of this lovely city.
I would fit right in with the not early riser crowd!!
love your fences!!
thank you for your thoughts today. i appreciate and am grateful for our blogging friendship.
happy happy weekend!
It's been some years since we visited Charleston but there's no end of great photo ops available with the beautiful architecture, gardens and yes - gates/fences! Some of these look familiar too....which is nice.

CH and I have never been to Charleston. I think we need to check out their fences ;)
Never been to the East coast...Charleston looks like a very interesting place to visit. The architecture is what I imagined it to be though.
